In addition to our collegiate Service Chapters, HOPE encourages broad-reaching support for children with special needs and their families through an annual festival called KidsFest.

KidsFest is a community celebration coordinated by HOPE Service Chapters and held on their respective college campuses. While HOPE Service Chapters are full of eager Hopesters who work weekly with children with special needs, HOPE’s KidsFest provides a general, one-day outlet for additional college students—those who are not official members of HOPE—to interact with children with disabilities.

The inaugural KidsFest was held by the HOPE Service Chapter at Wake Forest University on Sunday, April 23, 2006. KidsFest is always held the first day to National Volunteer Week and, as such, it serves as a tangible reminder of what volunteers and mentors mean to our local communities.
