This privacy policy describes HOPE’s current policies and practices with regard to personal data collected by HOPE through our website, www.hopevolunteers.org. The term “personal data” refers to personally identifiable information about you, such as your name, e-mail address, or phone number, and any other information that is identified with you personally, including the special needs school(s) or college(s) you identify for HOPE expansion.

Personal Data Collected Through Our Website. Other than cookies, which are described on the second page, the only personal data HOPE collects through our website is the information you voluntarily give us when you identify either a prospective college or special needs school to receive a HOPE Service Chapter. When you fill out the “enroll today” forms on our website, you will provide your name and other contact information, including your e-mail address and phone number.

Use of Personal Data Collected Through Our Website. HOPE uses the personal data information you provide in order to held spread the HOPE movement and to establish additional HOPE Service Chapters at other colleges. After being provided your personal data, the HOPE Team will contact you and begin the enrollment process to establish an additional HOPE Service Chapter at another college.

Our Strict Non-Disclosure of Your Personal Data. HOPE will NOT share any of the personal data collected through our website with any other agency, company, or organization. We will merely use this personal data to contact you to gather more information and help to establish an additional HOPE Service Chapter for the mutual benefit of college students and children with special needs.

Notification of Changes to This Policy. If and when our data practice or privacy policy changes, HOPE will post these changes on our website to notify you of the changes. Therefore, we encourage you to check this PDF occasionally. This policy was first enacted on April 15, 2007.

Anonymous Data Collected Through Our Website. In addition to the information you provide when you use our website, HOPE uses technology to collect anonymous information about the use of our website. For example, we use technology to track how many visitors access our website, the date and time of their visit, the length of their stay, and which pages they view. We also use technology to determine which web browsers our visitors use and the address from which they accessed our sites (for example, if they connected to the HOPE website by clicking on one of our banner ads).

This technology does not identify you personally. It simply enables us to compile statistics about our visitors and their use of our site. HOPE uses this anonymous data and may share it with third party technology firms to improve the content and functionality of our website, to better understand our visitors and markets, and to improve our services and recruitment efforts.

Cookies do not damage your personal computer in any way, and they cannot be used to discover the identity of a user. You can set your browser to notify you when you receive a cookie. This enables you to decide if you want to accept it or not and whether you are required to accept the cookie to view certain content.

Children. HOPE does not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of thirteen. If you are under thirteen, please do not give us any personal data. If you have reason to believe that a child has provided personal data to HOPE, please contact us, and we will delete that information from our database.

Questions About Our Privacy Policy. If you have any questions about this privacy policy or concerns about the way HOPE utilizes your personal data, please contact us.

  Kyle

This type of work and interaction with others was something I had never personally experienced before I began to participate with HOPE.”
